Password Change in TEMPO

“Why do I have to change my password in Tempo every three months?”

One of the main services offered to our agents through membership in Triangle MLS, Inc. is security of their listing information—especially with an internet-based MLS System. The listing information in TEMPO is password protected.  When agents violate the Rules & Regulations and share their password with different customers, clients, and website vendors, the security that we provide is compromised.  We have been able to identify some of the agents that have decided to disregard the welfare of their fellow real estate agents and distribute their password.  These agents have been faced with a $1500 fine. Since it is impossible to catch every violator of the rule, the password change had to be implemented.  Changing your password often will help keep the security in tact.

We can continue to enforce our rules of not giving the passwords out, but until all agents decide to adhere to the rule the quarterly password change will remain. We appreciate your cooperation.
