The Requirements of Virtual Tour Companies with Automatic Linking:
TMLS Requirements
For Virtual Tour Companies That Wish To Provide Automatic Linking
The virtual tour company
must be able to provide the following for automatic linking:
The virtual tour vendor
must have a Triangle MLS member who wants to use their services and that TMLS
member must recommend the virtual tour vendor in writing. This recommendation
may be sent to bonniee@trianglemls.com.
The virtual tour vendor
must sign a NDA for Marketlinx. (The hosting company of the TMLS system.)
This form is provided by Triangle MLS.
The virtual tour vendor
must sign the consent form provided by Triangle MLS.
The data must be provided
in a text file.
The format of the data
is as follows: mls#tabfullURL (without the http://).
The links must contain
a special parameter.
The text file must be
on our server before 6am each morning for it to be processed that day.
Any questions or concerns
by the virtual tour company will be directed to Bonnie Eaddy (bonniee@trianglemls.com)
The virtual tour company
will put the text file on the TMLS server using an FTP push.
It is the responsibility
of the virtual tour company, not Triangle MLS, to fix any concerns or issues
that agents may have with the virtual tours for their listings.
Virtual tours provided
to TMLS will NOT contain any promotional and/or marketing information regarding
the agents’ name, company name, website address, etc. Also, the tours will
NOT contain the VENDORS promotional and/or marketing information (website
address, telephone number, email address, etc.) However, the vendor is allowed
to state that the tour is powered or hosted by their company. If promotional
and/or marketing information is found on any tours, the vendor will be notified
of the violation. The vendor will be given five business days to correct the
tours. If at the end of the fifth business day the issue is not corrected,
the vendor’s access to the Triangle MLS, Inc. server will be denied.

Once the consent form has
been signed and the vendor agrees to meet the specified requirements a user
name and password will be provided to the virtual tour company to FTP the tour
links to our server.
