Delgado-Almaguer earns e-PRO certification
Terri Delgado-Almaguer, a sales associate with Fonville Morisey Realty Kildaire office in Cary , has successfully completed the e-PRO course to become one of a select few real estate professionals to earn the prestigious certification offered through the National Association of REALTORS®.

The e-PRO certification course is specifically designed to provide real estate professionals with the technology tools needed to assist consumers in the purchase or sale of their home. The exclusive e-PRO certification course designates real estate agents and brokers as Internet professionals.


Villages announces builders
Apex First Development, designer and developer of downtown Apex’s first upscale, mixed-use community, recently announced its exclusive builder team for The Villages of Apex. They include:

  • North Hills Homes Inc., who is building townhomes;
  • Cattano Construction Inc., Oak City Homes, LLC, Kerr-Smith Homes & Land Inc., Cotton Custom Homes, Phelan Building & Development and Jerry Smith Homes, who will build custom single-family homes;
  • Kerr Smith Homes and Land Inc., who will build townhomes in addition to custom single-family homes; and
  • Project developer Apex First Development, who will build luxury urban condominiums, Class-A office space and high-end retail.

Meanwhile, Apex hosted a REALTOR® luncheon and open house in March at The Regents at Old Mill Village More than 250 agents attended to learn more about the various neighborhoods and communities that comprise The Villages of Apex project.


Tart earns SRES designation
Marty Tart, broker/owner with Tart Realty Inc., has been awarded the Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES) designation by the Seniors Real Estate Specialist Council of the National Association of REALTORS®.

Tart joins more than 16,000 real estate professionals in North America who have earned the SRES designation. All were required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations and goals of real estate buyers and sellers aged 55 and older. SRES Council, founded in 2007, is the world's largest association of real estate professionals focusing specifically on representing senior clients in real estate transactions.


REALTOR® dine and learn more about The Hamptons at a recent Windjam-sponsored luncheon.

REALTORS® tour The Hamptons
Windjam Builder Marketing Group hosted a luncheon and educational presentation for 35 REALTORS® and five loan officers in February at the historic Ward home place within The Hamptons. The attendees also toured Phase 1 of the community and learned about its history and custom-builder team.

“We were very honored to host such a fine group,” said Rex Vick Jr., CEO of Windjam Builder Marketing Group. “Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed experiencing this historic project of which we remain exceedingly proud.”


Windjam/Shoffner host celebration

Windjam Development and Shoffner Construction recently celebrated the ground-breaking of “Tomorrow’s Hope,” the first masterfully designed custom home to benefit North Carolina Children’s Hospital.

The two companies joined with local representatives and dignitaries to celebrate the opening of this historic project located in The Hamptons, Windjam’s luxury community   near Jordan Lake . This was the kickoff of a year-long campaign to help raise awareness and funding for North Carolina Children’s Hospital. The fundraising effort will culminate with the entry of Tomorrow’s Hope into the 2008 Chatham County Parade of Homes.

Partnering companies in attendance at the ground-breaking included Planworx, who designed the custom home and Harbinger, who is providing marketing and public relations for the campaign.

Jones receives performance award
Jacqueline Jones of RE/MAX recently received an award from RE/MAX International for outstanding sales performance and achievement in real estate for 2007-08. She is now a member of the company’s Executive Club.


Burton named 2007 top CENTURY 21 producer
Suzanne Crawford Burton has been named CENTURY21’s second top producing sales associate for 2007 based on sales production. Burton was also ranked as one of the top 100 producers in North Carolina .

Burton has more than five years of experience in the industry and has been with the CENTURY21® System since her entrance into the real estate. She also serves as a director for the North Carolina Association of REALTORS®, the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® and numerous other organizations.


The Triangle REALTORS® Leadership Academy's Class of 2008 if off to a promising start.

The academy's mission is: "Preparing select REALTOR® members for existing and future association, community, civic, religious, political and personal leadership opportunities." Its first class, held in March, was taught by Tom Martin, REALTOR®, professional coach and mentor, and focused on team building, coaching and accountability:
