Identity theft is topic of next WCR meeting
Caroline Farmer of the
North Carolina Attorney General’s Office, will conduct a seminar called “Protecting Yourself and
Your Clients from Identity Theft” on Wed., April 2, at the Women’s Council
of REALTORS® monthly meeting. The session will be held from
8:45-10:15 a.m. at
111 Realtors Way in
Cary .
Discussion will focus
on what new protections against identify theft exist in the state and what
simple steps you can take to avoid being a victim. Farmer oversees the
Attorney General’s statewide efforts on identity theft,
financial exploitation of older adults, Internet safety for children and
other public policy initiatives. She’s also on the Identity Theft Task Force
for the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
This seminar is part
of WCR’s monthly meeting schedule and is open to WCR
and Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® members and guests. There’s
no fee for members to attend, but guests must pay $5.
