Continuing your education

The Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® is sponsoring five courses this month, all of which are approved by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission for continuing education.

From 6-10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, Vicki Ferneyhough, an agent and instructor with Fonville Morisey Real Estate School in Raleigh , will conduct the 2008 Mandatory Update session. She will repeat the class from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12.

Also on Wednesday, March 12, Ferneyhough will lead an electives class from 2-6 p.m. on Ethics and Real Estate. This course distinguishes ethics from laws and morals, and presents ethical dilemmas in real estate.

On Wednesday, March 26, George Bell, a real estate instructor and author, will conduct another 2008 Mandatory Update session from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Then, from 2-6 p.m. that day, he will lead a Broker-in-Charge Annual Review Course, which must be completed prior to June 10 by all brokers-in-charge who were designated as a broker-in-charge prior to July 1, 2006 and who wish to remain a broker-in-charge as of July 1, 2008 for the 2008/09 license period.

Fees are $55 per class if you’re a REALTOR® board or association member; $65 per class if not. Register in advance online or contact Cara Mottershead at (919) 654-5404 or caram@rrar.com.

The full tuition fee less $10 will be refunded if cancellation notice is received at least 24 hours prior to course. If a class is missed without a 24-hour notice, the entire fee is forfeited.
