Categories of Membership

Classes of Membership

REALTOR®:  Individuals who, as principals, partners, corporate officers, trustees, or branch office managers, are engaged actively in the real estate profession, including buying, selling, exchanging, renting or leasing, managing, appraising for others for compensation, counseling, or financing, building, developing or subdividing real estate, and who maintain or are associated with an established real estate office within the state of North Carolina.  Annual dues of $386.00 and a $250.00 orientation fee are due at the time of registration. Dues are prorated monthly.

Affiliate Members:  Affiliate Members shall be real estate owners and other individuals or firms who, while not engaged in the real estate profession as defined in the previous paragraphs, have interests requiring information concerning real estate, and are in sympathy with the objects of the Association.  Annual dues of $276 and a $250 orientation fee are due at the time of registration.

Designated Associate Member:  Owners, principals, or owners of a firm who, while not engaged in the real estate sales or appraisals, have interests requiring information concerning real estate and are in sympathy with the objectives of the Association.  This class of membership belongs to the corporation and may be transferred to another individual within the same company.  Annual dues of $250 and a $250 orientation fee are due at the time of registration.

Associate:  Individuals working for the same firm as the “Designated Associate”.  The Designated Associate must approve Associate Memberships by signing the Associate’s application.  This classification of membership is not transferable to other individuals.  Annual dues of $85 and a $25 orientation fee are due at the time of registration.
