RALEIGH REGIONAL
ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® ENDORSED CANDIDATES
On September 9th the
Board of Directors approved a list of candidates that support our business
philosophy and the entrepreneurial spirit. The RRAR Government Affairs
committee (GAC) conducted 54 interviews during the month of August and
have determined that the following candidates shall received an endorsement
through NC RPAC. We appreciate the hard work of the Committee and the candidates
for sharing their views on important real estate and quality of life issues.
After much consideration the Board decided not to endorse candidates for
the Wake County School Board. Below you will find information on the candidates
that were endorsed by RRAR/NC RPAC. Some candidates had campaign websites
and some did not. For those without websites we included links to news
stories or other information that explains the candidacy. Those endorsed

ELECTION TIMELINE
The City of Raleigh,
the Town of Cary and the Wake County School Board will hold their elections
on Tuesday October 6th 2009. All other municipalities in Wake
County will hold their municipal elections on Tuesday November 3, 2009.
Any run-off races that are necessary after the October elections will be
held November 3rd to coincide with the other elections already
scheduled.
The Candidate Filing
period will run from July 3rd thru July 17th.
Early voting begins September
17th and concludes October 3rd for the October 6th elections.
Early voting begins October
15th and concludes October 31st for the November
3rd elections.
