Welcome to the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS (RRAR) and Triangle MLS, Inc. (TMLS) website. We recognize the importance of protecting the personal information of the Realtor® community. We are committed to preserving your confidence and trust. Accordingly, RRAR and TMLS maintains the following privacy policy concerning the personal information you provide online.

Information we collect and how we use it

• Information you provide - When you register for a class or purchase a product from the Realtor® Store, we ask you for personal information (such as your name, e-mail address and an account password). For certain services, such as purchasing products, we also request credit card or other payment account information, which we maintain in encrypted form on secure servers.
• Communications - When you send e-mail or other communication using our site, we might retain those communications to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.
• Links – This website contains links to other sites that are not owned or controlled by the RRAR or TMLS. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information.

Choices for personal information
When you sign up for a particular service that requires registration, we ask you to provide personal information. If we use this information in a manner different than the purpose for which it was collected, then we will ask for your consent prior to such use.

If we propose to use personal information for any purposes other than those described in this policy and/or in the specific service notices, we will offer you an effective way to opt out of the use of personal information for those other purposes. Information sharing
Any mailing list that RRAR and TMLS provides to affiliates or non members contain only the physical mailing addresses of members from our membership database and does not include e-mail addresses. We do not sell, give or otherwise re- distribute your e-mail address.

Information security
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage, processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.

We restrict access to personal information to employees who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and might be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

Credit Information
Credit information that you and credit authorizers provide when you make payments by credit card or electronic check for products, dues or other services via the REALTOR Electronic Commerce Network (“E Commerce Network”) on Internet Members Services (IMS) will only be used to process the transactions you request. This information will be provided to and maintained by reputable credit reporting databases, but will never be sold, shared or provided to other third parties.

Copyright Ownership
All rights, title and interest in this Site created by RRAR and TMLS and in the ownership of the copyright therein, shall at all times remain vested in RRAR and TMLS. We shall have the right to license such compilations or portions thereof and any data contained therein to any entity pursuant to the terms agreed upon by the Board of Directors or RRAR and TMLS.

Security
We take security very seriously and therefore take every precaution to secure our members' information so your payment and personal information is always safe. We maintain security procedures and standards which we believe are as safe as today’s technology permits.

Changes in this Privacy Statement
RRAR and TMLS may make changes or improvements to the information, products, services and programs or other materials on this Site at any time without notice.
